Training Credit Management
Debt collection partner TCM Belgium has over 30 years of experience in credit management to its credit.
Over the past decade, we have increasingly received requests from clients and partners to provide training in credit management based on that experience.
What does a credit management training involve?
Effective credit management aims to minimize unpaid invoices and, if successful, has a positive impact on the company’s cash flow.
TCM Belgium focuses on elements that contribute to the prompt collection of unpaid invoices.
- Preventive Measures
- Properly drafted invoices
- Timely and accurate delivery of invoices
- Traceability of invoices
- Customer screening (data enrichment)
- Personal Contact (the key strength)
- Know your contact person
- Be aware of what’s happening with your customer
- Call your customer!
- Send reminders
- General Terms and Conditions (eliminating disputes)
- Include appropriate (legal) clauses beneficial to your company/sector
- Evaluate clauses based on the principles of reciprocity and balance
- Concepts such as pledge law, retention of title, principles of jurisdiction, etc.
- Legislation (subject to change)
- Legal framework for debt collection activities
- Impact of the incorporation of Book XIX on the collection of consumer debts
The credit management training is highly practical, involving simulations of telephone conversations, case studies, interaction with participants, and more.
Book XIX
We observe that many of our clients operating in the B2C sector are not yet compliant with the new legislation (free reminders, adjusted payment terms, modification of general conditions regarding late payment interest and charges, etc.).
Awareness on this topic still proves to be beneficial. TCM Belgium has already conducted an (online) training on these legal changes, but if necessary, a new training session on this subject can be requested.
If you are interested in our credit management training or would like to use our assistance in collecting unpaid invoices, please do not hesitate to contact us via s.dereze@tcm.be of +32 (0)498 29 29 14.
